The Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries will be presenting a Friends Institute,
Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Grantville Holiday Inn.
This one-day program is designed especially for Friends of libraries
throughout the State and will include presentations on
* Advocacy for Friends
* Recruiting and Retaining Friends Members
* How to run a successful book sale
* How to run an effective Friends organization
* Presentations by individual Friends Groups on their successful programs
There will be ample opportunity for meeting, networking, and making new “Friends”.

2012 Trustee/Friends Institutes
Saturday morning April 28th, the South West Region held a successful Trustees and Friends Institute at the Double Tree by Hilton in Washington, PA. Over 100 representatives from the nine county region’s libraries and friends groups had the opportunity to interact and share experiences with one another as well as hear from representatives from ALTAFF, PCBL, PaLA and the Office of Commonwealth Libraries.
